No, not for a wife but for a company's 30th anniversary. The statue is 26 cm high, made of old spare parts like screws, springs, gearwheels and rolling bear balls, etc. In its right arm the dragon is holding a plane because the company is manufacturing plane spare parts, the dragon itself recalls the past, the time when the company was founded. Its final colour was given by heat-treat patina, this is a procedure through which we get a dark toning and protection against rust. Such a piece of art takes approximately 3-4 days to make and it cost around 150 €. It is your turn now to order your unique present.
I made it from a 1 mm iron plate. After the suitable measurements and cutting, I used the power hammer, english wheel, a little shrinking at the edges, then the final touch was TIG welding. So I'm ready to call to life any fuel tanks or re-design an old one. The price is like 250 €, depending about the form and complexity.
I turned special feetholders for a chopper called: El-Camino. The main piece is decorated with 4&6mm drilled halls, and are separated by polished aluminum rings. The steel spareparts were powder-coated. A similar one's budget is between 150-260€.
So this puzzle it's a really big challange. The autor of the puzzle is Livio Zucca italian matematician. He said: if you do'nt have a hell of luck, you need 3 lifetime to solve it. Theoreticly there is just one solution.
:: Logo from sheet metal, with some metalcraft taste
The letters can be shaped in any sizes even in 4 dimensions (in my view the 4. is time itself). The edge of the letters is made by some rollpairs caught in an englishwheel, which makes a simple graduality on the sheet surface.
I've managed to collect many used spare parts due to my car mechanic pre-life. One night the idea came and I did the first chess-piece. Then the other 2000 spare part pieces came together within a few month. If you have any so-called "crazy-ideas" just let me know !!
